Glasgow

Meet your Coach and Driver-Guide in Glasgow Airport. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Glasgow City. Visit Glasgow Cathedral, the awe-inspiring building dedicated to St Kentigern, also known as St Mungo, was built in the 1100s and drew countless pilgrims to his shrine. Depart for Edinburgh for dinner and overnight at Double Tree Hilton or similar. (B/D)

Edinburgh

After breakfast, visit Edinburgh Castle, a historic fortress which dominates the skyline of the city of Edinburgh, from its position on the Castle Rock. Celebrate Mass at Saint Patrick’s Church, where we will visit the Shrine to the Venerable Margaret Sinclair (Sister Mary Francis of the Five Wounds) as well as a Shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Visit Palace of Holyroodhouse, which stands at the end of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Explore the Palace's close associations with some of Scotland’s most well-known historic figures such as Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie, and learn how today it is used by The King when carrying out official engagements in Scotland. Dinner and overnight at Double Tree Hilton or similar. (B/D)

Pitlochry

After breakfast, depart for Pitlochry via St. Andrew. Visit St. Andrews Cathedral, which was Scotland’s largest cathedral and most magnificent church. The museum houses an outstanding collection of early and later medieval sculptures and other relics found on the site, including the magnificent St.Andrew's Sarcophagus of Pictish date. Mass at St. James Church in St Andrew's. Arrive in Pitlochry for dinner and overnight at Fishers Hotel or similar. (B/D)

Loch Ness

After breakfast, Mass in Pitlochry. Tour to Loch Ness via Spean Bridge and Fort Augustus. Enjoy a 50-minute cruise of Loch Ness, departing from Fort Augustus at the southern end of Loch Ness. Enjoy tour and wine tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery, home to a famous Highland Single Malt Whisky renowned for its gentle flavors. Dalwhinnie is the highest distillery in Scotland. Return to Pitlochry for dinner and overnight at Fishers Hotel. (B/D)

Glasgow

Mass in Pitlochry. Depart for Glasgow. Visit Stirling Castle, one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, both historically and architecturally. Before the union with England, Stirling Castle was also one of the most used of the Scottish royal residences, very much a palace as well as a fortress. Several Scottish Kings and Queens have been crowned at Stirling, including Mary Queen of Scots in 1542. Dinner and overnight in Glasgow at Clayton Hotel or similar. (B/D)

Mass in Belfast. Depart for the North Antrim Coast. Visit Giants Causeway is the only World Heritage site in Northern Ireland. Resulting from a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, this is the focal point of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has attracted visitors for centuries. Return to Belfast for overnight at Europa Hotel. Dinner on your own. (B)

Armagh

Depart for Knock via Armagh, a city in Northern Ireland, which has been the spiritual capital of Ireland for over 1,500 years and the seat of both Catholic and Protestant archbishops. Enjoy some leisure time here in Armagh relaxing or sightseeing independently. You may choose to visit the two St. Patrick’s cathedrals or explore the town on your own. Armagh is significant both for its pre-historic monuments and for its association with St. Patrick. It has been the ecclesiastic capital of Ireland since Saint Patrick built Ireland’s first stone church here in 445. That stone church was the beginning of what we know today as the Armagh Cathedral. Continue to Knock for dinner and overnight at Kiltimagh Park Hotel. (B/D)

Knock

Mass at the Knock Shrine. Since the Apparition on the 21st of August 1879, pilgrims and visitors have been welcomed to Knock Shrine. Visit Clonmacnoise, founded by St. Ciarán in the mid-6th century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. The original high crosses and a selection of graveslabs are on display in the visitor centre. Dinner and overnight at Trinity City Hotel. (B/D)

Dublin

Mass and visit St Mary’s Cathedral. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Dublin with its prominent historic buildings and monuments. Dublin is an ancient settlement, founded by the Vikings in the 9th century. Tour St. Patrick's Cathedral, which stands on the oldest Christian site in Dublin. St Patrick is said to have baptized converts to the Christian faith in a well. Visit Trinity College and view the 8th century Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript of the gospels. The afternoon and evening are free for independent activities, sightseeing, shopping, and much more. Dinner and show (incl 1 drink) at the Merry Ploughboy. Overnight at Trinity City hotel. (B/D)
